all I can say is that a  diode was unsoldered and rattling around inside the pedal and it obviously wouldn't work.  I resoldered it where it belonged which looks like the R59 / D6 area of the board.  I have no idea about these things but I can solder and do minor electrical repair.  Once reinstalled, the led light up but no delay effect.  Sound goed through the pedal but there is no effect what so ever. Did I put it in backwards?  How can i check it with my meter?  thanks.  Someone bought it and didn't want it since it didn't work so I'd like to fix it and sell.....

I just removed this diode and it is glass, pinkish red inside with a black stripe and the only markings on it are 11B3 or llB3.  How do I know if this thing is bad or not?  I'm a complete novice when it comes to this stuff.

this diode has nothing to do with the effect switching......it is on the power circuit.  The pedal works without it but still no delay effect.  ANYONE WANT TO BUY A DD-3 MADE IN JAPAN THAT PROBABLY ONLY NEEDS A $2 DIODE TO WORK?????   I don't know how to diagnose these things.  It is so clean you would think it is new.....barely used ever.  I had it sold for $110 but agreed to give the guy his $ back since it didn't work.

not many people visit the digital/dsp part of the forum. if you want help repairing, try the regular/main forum. if you want to sell, post in the "for sale" ..good luck

diodes are not that easy to ruin . . . if not working due to wrong polarity power in pass use.. it must be the chip fried. . . .

just go to repair and let them handle  it to avoid more errors " if your not knowledgeable in repairing"
