Hello. I've posted here before and I'm kinda having the same problems I had with my last project. I'm trying to build a tube screamer using these schematics

http://www.tonepad.com/getFileInfo.asp?id=81

The clean signal of my guitar goes through normaly but when I push the switch it doesn't work. I checked all the soildering and it seem fine. The only problem I could think of is the 20k pot. I used a 25k pot. But I doubt that that would completley shut down the signal. I'm not a big electronics wizz so I may be wrong. I thought I'd ask here before I go out buying a new pot and being angry that it still doesn't work :P.

Here is my work. Sorry the images are a bit big but I didn't have time to resize them.

Do you have a DMM? I can't tell from your picture exactly but, it looks like you may have wired your DC jack incorrectly. Are you getting power to your board? You can check by measuring Pin 8 of the KA4558 chip. It should read around 9V.

A better picture of the DC jack would help OR post the voltage readings.

Good Luck  ;D

Yes. Here is the DC plug

But I don't think it's connected wrong. The red wire goes to the battery, the green on the right goes to the 9+ and the third wire goes to ground.
