Anybody have a schematic for the Jen/Gretsch Play Boy Harmon Booster?     Anybody want to make one?   :icon_mrgreen:

Standard trick. I don't know if I was the first to think of that that trick or not, but I never saw it used before I used it and posted it.

You take two photos, a top side and a bottom side. With photo software, you mirror the bottom and layer it over the top side with a uniform transparency.

I used to do this before digital cameras with copiers and transparency film for said copiers. You copy the top side (copiers have GREAT depth of field for this, just like scanners do; I used scanners before I got a digital camera) and then the bottom side on transparency. From there you can flip the bottom side over and lay it on top of the component side. You can then flip back and forth. A more involved way is to work just on the bottom side with another clear transparency sheet and a Sharpie pen to reduce the copied clutter. Then you can trace component outlines on the component side, and overlay them.

But photo software makes this a breeze.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

The GGG site says it's the same as the JEN HF modulator but that CAN'T be right.

I've heard that it's got Big Muff topology.
