A friend traded me a non-working DIY thing today; the guts are useless but it does have a fulltone 3pdt in it.  I gotta say, damn- I has really nice action and pretty much no switch noise, popping, pinging, clacking or otherwise.  It is light years ahead in terms of quality, no doubt. It seems like these are no longer available to the public- is that true?  I'd like to get a couple to put in my builds that I use most frequently.

Hm, very interesting, Mike! Thanks for the report. I haven't been too crazy about the blue 3pdt's, and I've been thinking about trying some other switching methods (like maybe a millenium bypass). Just found this:

$14, not as bad as I remember... I think they used to be more like $17?

Here's one at stewmac for $13, but I can't tell what brand it is:

$13 plus shipping still aint bad (if that is, in fact, an actual Fulltone switch), when you consider using some other method like FETs or relays.

edit: after looking closely at the stewmac pics, the bottom has some blue stuff, instead of the usual red glops, so now I'm REALLY not sure who makes these.

Also: I just noticed that if you buy 3 or more at stewmac, the price comes down to $9.95 each. Added bonus: if my eyes don't deceive me, it looks as though it comes with a metal flat washer, instead of the white plastic ugly ones.
