clock interfacing for pedals with sequencers onboard

Has anyone tried clock inputs or outputs so that pedal projects with sequencers can synchronize to other equipment?

Example: madbean Dig Dug with an input to be slaved to regular pulses from an analog sequencer? Or clock output to drive a sequencer?

I am certainly out of my league here in terms of figuring out the mods from scratch...I'm guessing it's been explored? If so please share!
