I searched and couldn't find anyone with the same problem. I have a FTM where the octave switch does nothing. It was working at one point and then it just stopped. When I flip the toggle switch it just stays in regular mode. Here's the kicker, I even went as far as to change the whole board/pots/dc jack wires/toggle switch with new ones and still have the same exact problem with no octave effect.  ??? Could it possibly be something on the 3pdt or the jacks? Those are the only things that haven't been replaced. It is really perplexing me.

did you use GE diodes?
did you use a heatsink when you soldered them in? One or both could have been fried with too much heat.

I used 1n34a diodes on both boards, on the original board I even changed out d1 and d2 and was very precise with soldering time. I've searched for and doubled checked all soldering, traces and everything checks out. Every works and sounds great, just no octave effect. Changed toggle switches a few times so not a faulty switch. I just find it weird that the guts of two pedals(minus the 3pdt and jacks) would exhibit the same exact issue.

Ok, I measured the diodes and found they still had proper voltage drop. So I kept looking at the newer board I had in there and found a solder bridge. Sure enough that got the switch working :) When in doubt, keep at it I guess!
