SPDT Footswitch Lug Identification?

I've mapped out a 1980 pedal offboard wiring on a schematic and was wondering how to identify the SPDT footswitch lugs. Looking at the pedal guts the SPDT has one lug on the left and two lugs on the right. I see how it is wired but what are the three lugs called? One of the two lugs on the right side is angled. Are they numbered like the pins on a schematic symbol for a SPDT and how to the 3 pins correspond to the 3 lugs? It looks like this from another view if you would take it out of the pedal:

Guitar > Neo-Classic 741 Overdrive > Boss NS2 Noise Suppressor > DOD BiFET Boost 410 > VHT Special 6 Ultra Combo Amp Input > Amp Send > MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay > Boss RC3 Loop Station > Amp Return

Couldn't this be answered with a few minutes and a DMM? It should be easy to find out how the switching works.

Can't probe a photo, maybe steve's tracing from a pic?

I'm tracing wiring inside my 1980 MXR Distortion+ and trying to make an accurate schematic diagram with proper labeling.

Are you planning on putting an actual pic or reference to the original switch in the schematic? If not, I dont know why you could not use the usual SPDT switch that is comonly used in other schematics.

Could you elaborate on how you want to illustrate the switch in your layout?

Maybe this will help. Here is a list I made showing how MXR wired up this pedal. I want to know if my labeling for the footswitch lugs is numbered correcly. In a schematic symbol pin 2 is the center 'pole' switching between the effect and bypass. So does the schematic symbol common match up with lug 2 on my footswitch graphic and text? P2 is the Output pot and P1 is the Distortion Pot.

I gotta go back to my original post. If you throw the ole' DMM on the switch, it would take you a minute to identify the lugs  ;D

After all, you really only need to identify which one is Lug 2 right?? The others (1 & 3) can be to your liking.

I see how each of the three lugs connect to either the effect output or the input/output jacks. Just verifying the lug number just so I match up the labeling correctly to the SW schematic symbol. Measuring it with a meter isn't going to tell me the lug number but where I show lug 2 looks to be the common position for the symbol. I don't know if footswitch manufacturers label the actual switch lugs.

I think you are right!  ;D

If you use the comon lug as Lug 2, then the way you have them marked in your post above is correct.

Well let's look at it in the whole pedal circuit. Do I have the SW1 schematic component oriented correctly for which wired connection should be the common pole? I'm talking about the SW1 symbol located in the middle-left hand side of the drawing. That's why I wanted to know where the pole actually is on the physical switch. I'm not good at representing offboard wiring in schematic form. Let me know so I can correct it.

[Edit - I deleted the image link that I now think was completely wrong. I posted an updated version in the next post.]

Here I reversed pins 2 and 3 on the switch and it looks more 'normal' to me. Is this the correct way?
