ok, so just 2 questions, i think.
1 how can i test a pedal to see how many ma's that it "wants/needs" for optimal operation?
2 what relationship is acquired when daisy chaining pedals together?

say i have a 500ma supply. pedal one draws 200ma, pedal two 50ma, etc.

will each load take away from the "collective" current that is available, or will each one have 500ma available to it?

 Yes, each pedal takes away from the current that is available.
