Hi guys! im really new to building my own fuzz circuts, and the last week iv'e been trying to build a Bazz Fuss.
i used this layout:
http://michaelbeck.com/adam/bazzlayout.jpg

I tried hooking up a 3pdt switch + LED, but it would'nt work.
i took off the footswitch + led, still nothing.
at the moment i have soldered a batery clip to the circut (no DC input).

the thing is, if i don't have the battery plugged to the clip, i get sound from the amp (no fuzz obviously), but as soon as i plug the battery in, nothing!
so, what the hell am i doing wrong??!?!  >:(

i have some understanding for electronics (i am an electronics student). i know the theory and the formulas, but i suck at putting it to life.
so, if anyone could give me any answers, i would be more than thankful!

Best regards!

ps: sorry about my lack of grammar skills (im Norwegian)

Wiring up a 3pdt switch can be difficult the first time

So you can simplify the problem:
Just wire your input jack straight to the input of the bazz fuss.
Wire the output jack straight to the output of the bazz fuss.
Test if the effect works and take it from there.

There is a great thread on debugging in the sticky topics of this forum section.

thanks man! but how do i go about grounding the circut?
the fuzz also has a potmeter, but i think ill drop the pot for now.

If you put your circuit on the table:
1. wire the ground of the input jack to the circuit ground
2. wire the ground of the output jack to the circuit ground

if you put your circuit in a metal box
1. wire the ground of the input jack to the circuit ground
2. you don't need to connect the ground of the output jack to the circuit ground because the metal box connect the grounds of the connectors together.

In the top left corner of the web page are some nice links to DIY FAQ and WIKI etc...
Some great info there.
