NI Multisim audio input

Hi!
I'm trying out NI Multisim 10.1 and can't find a way to input audiofiles to a circuit. There should be a way to do it as there is both a microphone and a speaker interface, so why not an input for a .wav file?

Ok. I managed to do it by linking from audiomulch with Virtual Audio Cable. There must be a better way though.
It would be much better to have a simple .wav player running under multisim directly. Perhaps a LabVIEW instrument.
Anyway it's good fun to have audio files processed that way.

Do you have any sort of guide for working with Multisim?  I've tried it out, but got hopelessly confused.

I realise this is prob a really noob question, but if you can input a .wav file into multisim can you actually save/play the output file for direct comparison or is it just viewable on the multisim scope.

Ahhhhh it would just be too good to be true if you could actually get an audio output, and as i suspect pretty damn near not possible.

Well. The easiest way to start I guess is to just go with an existing project to start with. It's probably the simulation part
that'll drive you nuts.
If you're interested I can post or mail you a project or two with scopes hooked up...

You can have audio out. No problemo. Well actually... that was what this thread was about... my problemos with it, but I'm not that good with what goes where in a computer. You get audio out, but you can't save it within multisim so you need to grab the stream from another program. Not a big problem. It is worse with the input...

OK. My computer is 600MHz /256k ram... You can safely say it isn't the optimal tool for heavy simulation activity.   
The audio components (LabVIEW VI's (XLV1, XLV2) ) are poorly documented and I couldn't find any reference to they're electrical behavior.
It is however possible to simulate a circuit with audio and this seem to be easiest done by simply recording audio from the mic input with the mic component (XLV2).

   nc asym: One more diode in series with one of the 1n914.
   Filtered: Filtering added within multisim... in front of, in the OP feedback and extra filtering after clipping diods

Thanks a bunch for the file, but I can't seem to get it to work.  I have it set up the exact same way as in the screenshot,  but only get a short burst of static as output.

Edit: turns out I forgot to run the simulation.  I feel rather stupid.

NI's website has forums there and they are really good about answering questions there.  They would have the definitive answers.

Oh awesome, I usually just look at waveforms on the scope or spectrum analyzer, I'll have to try this!
