New build GGG BSIAB2 - Where to place contour pot?

Hi Guys,

Im part of the way through a GGG BSIAB2 stock build with contour pot. Ive got to the stage where i need to solder the contour pot to the PCB, but where exactly does it go? Does it go on one of the legs on 'R9' and the other on the leg of 'C8'? Its just that the diagram from GGG doesnt seem that clear to me and im a bit of a noob!

If that is where it needs to go, would you solder it to the top where the components are or from below where all the other soldering is?

...would you solder it to the top where the components are or from below where all the other soldering is?

If you are using wire leads to connect the pots to the board, just solder the Contour pot as you soldered the other pots.

I just built one last wekend, and followed the diagram posted on GGG build guide--the one with the contour knob.  Make sure to use the 5.6K resistor, too or the contour pot won't do anything.  I followed the BIM list and got all of the supplies, but it states R9 isn't used.  It IS used, but only if doing the contour pot.
