I've got about five 230V/50Hz in my life - i suppose not across my chest though. I don't like touching a ground wire with one hand and probing with my other hand :). Seriously, be very careful.

I have tremendous respect for 60 Hz 115V electricity. 60 Hz will stop your heart in a New York second! I've treated a lot of electrical burns, and I don't like that part, either.

I've been shocked by 115VAC several times. Maybe I'm just lucky?

Across the hand or across the chest?

I guess not across the heart, AFAIK. Both of the most recent times I got shocked from the IECC socket on a DIY tube amp, accidentally touched it with my hand while it was plugged in. Pulled it away as soon as I felt that weird tingly feeling you get while being shocked with 120VAC.

And then there was the time a few years ago when I got a little shock from my evap cooler pump, which is a 230VAC pump. I know there has been other times as well, but I don't think any of those were across the chest, either...
