...and the shipping has gone down but it is still double what it was last week. The net result is that yesterday the order in my cart was $165 and now it is $173.

I think I might just bite the bullet and start buying from 4Site again. *shudders*

Realistically what all did you buy. If it was all enclosures then maybe but if you ordered other stuff how much would it have cost anywhere else.?

I know I just tried making a similar orders from tayda and mammoth. The mammoth order was 200% more and that was with half the resistors and capacitors.

I do not purchase from Mammoth.

Placing two orders is the most economical. Enclosures from 4Site ($1 less per unit than Tayda's now) and everything else from Tayda.

Scratch that. Tayda dropped the 125Bs to $4.99. Who knows what they will be tomorrow!?

Yes, you are missing the entire point. Have you compared their pricing schemes?

125Bs at Mammoth are $5.50 per unit or $5.23 if you purchase 10 units and $4.95 if you purchase 25 (etc).
125Bs at 4Site are $4.43 with a minimum purchase of 10 units.

Mammoth caters to people buying a few parts whereas 4Site provides better bulk pricing.

On 1 or 2 enclosures tayda prices are still better.

but...

If you are buying between 3 to 10, the shipping start to get better at Mammoth/4site. Tayda has better prices on most other things though. knobs are an example.

If you want trimmer pots I'd suggest going to ebay where you can find gags of 10 or 25 for %10 of ether Tayda or Mammoth.

always think outside the box

Hard to beat Tayda on most things. However, when it comes to trimmers, I like beefy and rugged pots. I rarely use them so I do not mind buying top quality for the few I need.
