Hi all,

I'm thinking of tackling the Insanity Box next, but I was wondering if a CD4049UBE will work as well a CD4049AE (listed in the schematic). I've done a bit of hunting, and both are listed as CMOS inverting buffer converters, but beyond that, I can't see any other difference between them.

Could someone confirm. I'll be doing it on vero, so as usual, once it's done, I'll post the layout.

Cheers,
Dino

It'll be fine. UBE is the standard suffix used nowadays.
Bringing you yesterday's technology tomorrow.

Thanks James ! That's what I figured from the data sheets, but I thought I would check here anyway. Works out well, just received some for my Christine project.
