Help identifying transistors?

Trying to figure out this Nu Wah Fuzz. From 1970 ish?

The fuzz part works fine, but I'm trying to get the wah circuit working.
The number on the first transistor reads S20172 707, second reads S15255-619. Both made by fairchild.

I drew up a schematic (doesn't look like any other wah circuit I can find) but I'm not sure how to put it on the internets...

I know this might be a long shot...

Oh yeah, transistors are positive ground but I put the circuit in a breadboard, tried various bipolar transistors, and the best I could get was a barely audible signal coming through when the wah pot was in the center of it's rotation.

ouch. may be hose are JFETs??

Don't know too much about JFETs but I tried some J201's, no dice. Fixed a little thing I wired wrong, now it just works as a volume pedal and the second transistor can actually be pulled out without any difference to the sound.
