hey guys-
just seen some interesting info and internal shots on the DAM forum on this variation on the rangemaster style boost.

http://www.solidbodyguitar.com/Hornby.htm

sounds real cool and has an oc71 and another few components i cant quite see on the gutshots.
id love to build one as i have a mullard oc71 and two slider switches here i think but i dont have a schem or a layout and there seems to be very little info on the web on these in comparison to the dallas rangemaster .  it looks a little more involved than the usual one tranny boost
can anyone help ?
thanks
bob

It's the germanium version of the Hornby Skewes boosters with a switchable output section:

here's the silicon treble booster

and the silicon bass booster for comparison:

hey , thanks for reply!
wish all the cap values were known

I guess the one at the collector is 0.1µF, like in the bass boost. if you put a 0.001µF in series with it like in treble mode the resulting capacitance is only slightly lower than 0.001µF.
We can only speculate about the input cap, though..
