Here is the schematic for the fuzz face, http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/fuzzface/fuzzfacenpnschematic.gif.

I got everything put together today and all the wiring looks great under the hood and I followed the wiring diagram correctly.

After plugging in the pedal and attempting to play it, the bypassed signal was muted.  No sound would come through the amplifier when the pedal was bypassed.  After turning on the pedal the signal will run through at full volume.  The volume potentiometer (500k) of the circuit works fine and will turn all the way up to 10.  However, the fuzz potentiometer (1K) does not do anything when turned.  The signal is not effected by it.

All of this circuit was soldered onto to a stripboard.

I look forward to hearing back from anyone who may know what could be wrong.

Thanks,

Nick

Double check your connections around the switch and the fuzz pot.

I have checked all of those connections.  When bypassed I checked the continuity between the tip of the output jack to tip of the input jack and they are connected.  It doesn't make sense that no signal would go through since the multimeter shows that they are connected.

Like blooze said, check to see if theres an unnecessary connection to ground. Maybe insert a plug into the jacks and check for continuity from tip to ground.
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

I wouldn't try to troubleshoot any further until you have this bypass sorted out. Try skipping the switch by using clip leads to go straight
from in to out.

...and you'll have more chance of getting help here if:
