I have a 2w PP poweramp, PI and dual parallel triodes for 2nd stage. 1rst stage is a Jfet stratoblaster or Fetzer, no matter it sounds great.
It works fine and low noise with a battery.
I built a PS: 12vac secondary [little RS transformer=12.6vac/300ma.]>Lm317>Filtering>9vdc..sorta, the hum is getting in there somewhere.
With everything connected but the power supply being a battery, the noise is low, this makes me think the power supply is injecting ripple.
220uf cap on the output...maybe this is it? [the 317 schematic calls for 1uf.
Any advice or a layout/schematic I could follow might help me figure it out.

I am going to take a stab

you have  a 12.6 - 0 - 12.6 RS transformer?
then you are going from the top line to CT for 12.6 volts to a bridge rectifier then to lm317 ?

and heaters are coming off where? I am assuming triodes are tubes

in other words how are you rectifying?
