Which distortion or overdrive to get this sound?

Hi Guys,

When you listen to this clip and hear the guitar right around second 38 to 44, does any specific distortion or overdrive pedal come to mind?

I like how it reacts to his dynamics and the overall sound and I'd like to build something that sounds similar if I can get an idea of were to start.

sounds like a strat into a compressor, with the bass on the small amp turned down.
