Once again -- impedance problems in an input cap blend mod

I posted this earlier but nobody's replied, so maybe it fell through the cracks...

I am implementing an input cap blend in the front of a Tonebender Mark II circuit, following the way it works in Joe Gagan's Easy Face.  I've heard some other people out here comment that they've done it succesfully, but someone off the board mentioned to me that it would cause problems with impedance occuring that early in the circuit.  I had not thought about that...is it indeed a problem particular to the three transistor circuit in a tonebender vs. the two transistor fuzz face?  If so, what can I do to compensate this?

I think it should work, check that the first stage works with a smaller input cap first, it might need the big cap to work properly. Putting the input blend on the cap to the fuzzface section will possibly work better.

yeah, i like the idea of trying the blend before Q2 as well. if it was me, i would wire up a dualgang and listen to what happens when i do it to both stages at once. cap values might need to be adjusted ( eg smaller 'large" cap on the Q2 side - try 1.0 instead of 2.2 uf  etc.) but then again, i like crazy stuff, so contact your lawyer for legal advice on suing me in your principality.
