Just built the simple LPB from the instruction page on the Beavis site.  Great booster, but a little too bright for me.  Anybody have a suggestion how I can attenuate the highs it's putting out while keeping the mids?  I've switched out the input cap a few times but if I go lower than the .1uF currently in there, it gets a little too brittle and thin for my taste.  I'm running it into a bluesbreaker-type overdrive and want to keep the warmth but get rid of the icepick-in-the-ear I'm currently hearing...

probably a simple passive LPF on the end of the circuit would suffice.

You don't even need a resistor. The output impedance of the transistor stage is equal to the collector resistor, or 10k. Just throw in a 10n or 22n capacitor from the collector to ground.
