Hi.

I've built a stompbox to control midi using a usb gampad.
The current schematic makes it acting as a on/off switch.
Basiclly it means i have to press the switch four times to have it act as a signal sender.
Pressing it causes the midi signal to stay active instead of activate and deactive as it should have done with a momentary switch.
Thing is i need to keep the on/off function for the LED since the gamepad pcb can recive midisignals.
Im attaching a pic of the scheme i made and are using right now.
I would like to know if it's possible to wire the switch act as on/on, send a signal when pressed and release it at the same time.
I've done a post in another forum about the build with plenty of pics in the first post, take a look so you get a picture of what it is.

Thanks in advance!

What if you connect your gamepad to the center log and GND's to the top and bottom logs?

rudeez

you mean top and bottom logs in the middle section?

The "scheme" is done in this "position".

I just tried to change the wireing on the line were the gnd is linked, changing place with that link and the gamepad data cable, like this:
|gnd
|gamepad data +
|gnd

went out so that the midi signal is sending constantly.

Tell me if I understand this correctly.
You want the switch to turn the LED on and off (on one pole)
and on another pole have the switch send +5 to your gamepad with every stomp.

Right? If not I don't understand :o(

rudeez

that's correct, exactly what you just said!
