TS808 clone problem

Hello,
I hesitate to do this but I registered on this site just to ask one question. Let me preface this by saying: I can solder alright, but I know nothing about electronics.

I got my hands on a TS808 clone, the tone was kind of crummy so I switched out the internal chip for a JRC4558D. Immediately the pedal sounded great. Encouraged by this, I decided to experiment further.

I dropped an OPA2134PA chip in there, and the pedal stopped making sound. I put the JRC455 back in there but it has stopped working. The signal still passes through on bypass mode.

My question is, which components were likely to have been damaged by the chip swap? Hoping for a quick fix.

Please see the picture and if anyone has an idea it would be appreciated.

To the first question: probably none.
Check for wire strand touching case or other case-introduced-misconnect.
Check off the other 'preliminary debug tasks' as you follow the instructions at ''Debugging: what to do when it doesn't work", a sticky thread near the top of the forum threads.
