G'day all!  :) I've recieved a non-working Akai Touch Wah. Tested it and bypass is fine but there's nothing when engaged. Not even a LED light up! So, I've pulled the back off and freed the two PCB's. There's no obvious burnt out parts that I can see. Applying  power(9.24v) to the circuit and my DMM I got as far as a little orange diode with a yellow band, which was after one resistor(10k). Voltage before resistor 9.24, voltage after resistor 2.94, voltage on stripe side of diode 2.94, voltage after diode 0.00. The diode is connected to the right-hand pin(with the flat side facing me) of a  1317 S 9E tranny. Left-hand pin is connected to v+ and reads 9.24v. Middle pin reads 0.00v.
With no voltage the diode reads 630 with the diode symbol on the DMM and with power on it reads 930. Is it the diode?
There is basically nothing after that diode. There is no voltage at the V+ going to the second PCB either. There's the main PCB and a secondary one which has the LED and the pots on it.

This is the second effect I've recieved in a not working state. The first was an EHX Metal Muff \m/ which had a burnt out MPF102. This one isn't so obvious.
If someone can help, that'd be great. I can provide more info if needed. Voltages etc.
Cheers, Jason.
