So I'm doing a fuzz factory based off of this diagram:

So I'm a big noob, this is my first official build.
So, the middle prong on the transistors, what do I do with it? I feel especially dumb with that one.

And also, if I figure out the polarity, I'm fine using electrolytes, right?

Thanks.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here. The transistors straddle three holes in the diagram, and the pins go in there. You probably should use sockets for Q1 and Q2 to avoid damaging the germanium transistors (and maybe Q3 as well). Something like this: http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=101

Yup. The shaded side of the capacitors in the diagram is the negative side.

Oh, alright with the transistor prongs. I don't think I was thinking straight when I posted that.  And big thanks on the socket suggestion! I hadn't even thought of that, thanks!

And the caps, I hadn't even seen that! I hadn't noticed it was shaded for negative... Thanks for letting me see that.

Alright, thanks a ton.
