ok, so i am modding a crybaby to true bypass with a 2pdt switch.  i followed the directions to a t, but it is not passing sound in bypass or otherwise.  i get continuity at all parts of the switch when it should, and from tip to tip and sleeve to sleeve when in bypass, but when i plug it in there is no sound that goes thru.  i can unplug it after strumming my guitar and plug the chord into the amp and get sound.  i have tried a differnt cord from the pedal to the amp as well.

could i have burnt up the switch?  i did burn myself on a pole that i was not heating a good amount of time after i had taken the iron off the switch.

Check continuity from either tip to either sleeve. I bet you're shorting to ground somewhere.

at first i was like why would i have continuity for tip to sleeve.  then i checked and had it.  then i thought about what you wrote, and realized what is going on.  although short of the switch being grounded to the enclosure i have no idea where i would be shorted at.

go figure.  it was in an area of the dunlop pcb that i never touched  ???

why would it not pass signal from the 8 hole plug to the output socket along the pcb, but has continuity all the way to the plug from every point on the circuit?  now it has bypass mode, but still is not passing signal in effect mode.
