Vox Wah V845 or V847A pot replacement

Does some of you have successfully replace the pot in one of these pedal with a dunlop hot potz II even if the latter is physically bigger and shorter than the original? Otherwise I willl have to buy the original but it is more difficult to find plus, I rather have hot potz II from the good comment I've seen around.

hotpotz2 are very durable, possibly the most durable of the common available pots for wah.

yes it will fit in any vox unless they have changed something very recently i don't know about. how old is the wah?

2 day old! I've destroy the pot the night I bought it while gently (apparently not enough) drilling a hole for a LED. I successfully made it true bypass and added a LED but this is the only thing that I have now. I was lucky not to destroy the PCB, only the pot.

It look just like that picture on that link. The PCB is (was) attached to the POT. In that link, this is a V847A which is not the V845 that I bought but look identical. In my model, we can even see the place on the PCB for Q3 (the buffer in the V847).
