Is anyone else furious about Rustoleum's nozzle change?

I've been using Rustoleum crystal clear enamel to finish decals and clearcoat enclosures for years now. Recently they changed to an "any angle" spray nozzle design. Unfortunately, this new design will only work upright for the first spray session. if you stop using the can for a minute, it will no longer spray when upright and will only work if you invert the can. You can imagine how extremely difficult it is to spray a cardboard sheet with decals taped to it when you have to hold the sheet and spray while holding the can upside down. Now I have to find some other brand of paint because Rustoleum foolishly changed their perfectly fine nozzle design. Ugh!

Tell them! Manufacturers do need this kind of feedback. They might already be sitting on a bunch of emails and thinking "well, if one more person complains we'll do something about it".
Bringing you yesterday's technology tomorrow.

You can order different types of nozzles. I don't know weather they'd work on those cans but you could give it a try.

I always use Montana paint. It's basically graffiti paint, its great because it dries quickly, comes in a lot of colors and it's cheap!

I learned this the hard way - glad to see it wasn't just me.

My can of clear stopped working after the first coat. I couldn't figure it out. I tried cleaning the spray nozzle etc. - and the new nozzles aren't replaceable with the old ones - they attach to the can differently.

I ended up throwing the can (7/8ths full ! ) away.

When it happened again - I got frustrated and did exactly as you say - and inverted the can - holy cats what a pain in the a**.

Strange

I switched to Krylon Crystal Clear because of the same problem. No issues yet.

I would email (or if you can find a phone number, call) the company and ask what's up.  I can't believe that R+D would allow a nozzle like that into mainstream production... there has to be a trick to get it to work again.  Or, who knows... maybe there's not.

Graffiti writers use all sorts of different nozzles.  I'm assuming a few minutes with Google could find you a supplier.
