Hi! I've built an Okko dominator. It works but there is a strong whistle in output. Can anybody help me?

Ok well. This is the layout http://www.sabrodesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/OkkoDominator.gif and i have use the suggested mod that consist of replace the on-on-on switch with a 1MA pot. The circuit work, but there is a terrible whistle in output and i can't understand where is the problem I've also used shilded cables for input and output. (I'm sorry for my english)

That is good info however, if you read the entire DEBUG thread that I linked, there is A LOT more information that you can provide to us to help troubleshoot the circuit.

Voltages of ALL pins on S1, OP1, OP2, OP3, all transistors and voltage regulators, etc.

You need to read over the link again and repost with EVERYTHING it is asking.  ;)

Good Luck  ;D

I don't know anything about the pedal, but pin 5 of OP2 shouldn't be 0 volts it should be about the same as Pin 1. Check the trace cut under the opamp between pins 4 and 5.

Why donĀ“t you start a debugging thread over at "the other forum", where this pedal was retraced? The people who want to help you will find a schematic there and the guy who made the layout (Harald Sabro Bolstad) could help you as well...
btw: The layout is correct, I used it, with the same mod.

ArtXander

I haven't solve the problem yet :( roseblood11 can you give me your voltages?

roseblood11

No, sorry! I sold the pedal because I realized that I have no use for that kind of distortion...
