A (hopefully) quick question about making a stereo effect

Hi,

I'm planning to make an effect stereo (or rather 2-channel) by using 2 similar PCBs. I plan to have 2 separate inputs/outputs, and 2 separate sets of controls instead of using stereo jacks and dual-gang pots.
My question is, using this configuration, would I be able to use both channels separatedly (for 2 different fx chains, or even 2 different whole setups from instrument to amp -- guitar on one channel and bass on the other for instance)? Does the fact that both PCBs share a common ground pose a problem?

Thanks in advance.

hi
common ground in a 2 channels pedal might be noisy ie with 2 vintage tube amps (maybe even with some new amp), or with 2 (or more) appliances sharing the same power supply ground.
You just have to try and see...
You might have to raise the signal ground from the power ground.
but with 2 different effects chains it shouldn't be an issue.
"NOT FLAMMABLE" is not a challenge

Thanks! I'll give it a try and implement a ground lift switch if needed.
