hi Guys, bare with me as this is my first project. i have read alot of here and the wiki has been a huge help. thanks for that.

Im building a Mud bunny - to Green Russian specs .

http://www.madbeanpedals.com/projects/Mudbunny/docs/Mudbunny.pdf

so i have populated the board, and hooked my wires up for the first time. plug everything in. - nothing(nothing in bypass either). - well the led would come on but nothing else - i have a multimeter, so i check and ok so i dont think the board is getting power, i wasnt to sure on anything else except i thought the wire I used was a but to big and rigged, this made doing the foot switch wiring really difficult. so I redid all the wiring with some other smaller wire and tried to keep it as clean as i could.

this time i plug it in, and its a loud buzz, i click the effect on and it seems to just change the fequency of the buzz, (maybe higher) except i can turn the buzz down to completely nothing from the volume pot, so now im stumped, i believe the board is getting power now because of the volume pot working? but i am clueless now to what to try.  I have done some searching and cant find anything like this.

Im hoping its something stupid that i can fix, right now im feeling pretty disheartened  first build woes i guess!

is it worth  putting up some photos of the board?

thanks guys.

Sure is, but even more helpful is following the checklist here: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=29816.0

the first thing you should consider after populating the board is testing the circuit...before wiring the switch.

switches are a massive beginner problem area and it is best to eliminate that when troubleshooting

a clear closeup picture of the wiring and the voltages [detailed in debug thread above] will get you the best troubleshooting responses

good luck
always think outside the box
