DOD FX 80 Compressor help/schematic

Hey all... I just picked up a DOD FX 80 compressor essentially for free, but it's not working.  It's not really passing signal when it's on or in bypass, which is strange.  If you crank both the comp and level knobs you hear a little bit of a broken up sound (when it's on and in bypass), but nothing other than that.

I've built a few pedals and have a basic understand of troubleshooting so I've checked a few things... the jacks seems good, the pots seems ok, although the comp pot acts a little weird.  It reads perfectly on the meter when no battery is plugged in, but as soon as you power it up the comp pot has NO reading when you turn it... That doesn't sound normal to me, but it's a different ball game when power is engaged I guess.

So, I guess I'm looking for a schematic if someone has one (I scoured Google, found nothing)... or any other troubleshooting tips.

Thanks!

Thanks, Gov!

If anyone else has some troubleshooting tips, I'm all ears!

Thanks again.

Does it have 3094 or 3080 ic, is it Dod FX 80 or 80b, attack or release model? 80b release model is most sought after I believe

It has a 3094, it's the regular fx 80, with only a level and comp control.  It seems the fx80 is actually more sought after and slightly more rare from what I've read on the web, but who knows.

Yeah depends where and who you ask, but I know what Esa Pulliainen fans say  ;) ...

http://www.guitarscanada.com/effects-pedals-strings-more/39285-soul-preacher-dynacomp-advice-2.html some version schem on that link, dunno if it is the same

A pedal of that vintage, if been unused for looooong times, might benefit if all electrolytic caps are replaced with new ones

Other than that, signal probing and measurements, post some voltages and people who really know might help, there is that sticky "what to do..."

Cool!  Speaking of which, I checked the voltages of all the chips and they all read perfect.  I'll check out that sticky...

Thanks!
