Daisy chain - PNP and NPN

Hi

Is is possible to connect:

an ordinary NPN, negative ground, negative center power supply stompbox

with

a PNP, positive ground, negative center power supply stombox in a daisy chain?

The PNP pedal is wired using this offboard wiring: http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/diagrams/switch_lo_3pdt_tb_dcj_pnp_gi.gif?phpMyAdmin=78482479fd7e7fc3768044a841b3e85a, but the pedal itself (tonebender) is postive ground and it has PNP transistors.

Where the positive and negative pins are attached to the incoming DC jack do not matter.

What matters is whether there is a short across the power supply. You cannot connect and have it work properly if
1) you have a single 9V power supply
2) one pedal connects the + side to ground
3) another pedal on the same power supply connnect the - side to ground
all at the same time.

The fact that one pedal connects the positive side to signal ground and the other pedal connects the negative side to its signal ground, and then the signal cable between the two connect the two signal grounds together shorts the power supply. Negative center, positive center, whatever. What matters is whether the power supply is shorted.

The short answer is: no you can not connect a PNP positive ground pedal with a NPN negative ground in a daisy chain, using the same power supply.
