Ibanez FL9 is causing my DIY dirt boxes to pop

Dirt pedals work fine when I remove the FL9?
What can I check on the Ibanez? I can't tell if anything is touching ground, but the FL9 works fine. The LED is on very faintly in bypass.

I could be wrong but, I believe this is an indication of very low input power.

Is this a stock unit or a clone?
Are you using battery or wall power?

It's a vintage/80's model. Maybe I should throw in a 9V battery and see if the results are the same.
Currently, it's running on a BBE SupaCharger.
