i'll chime in again....heres a diagram/layout with your breadboard style...
make sure you have your in/outs grounds are connected to your board, ... and your breadboard positive and negatives connected on the top and bottom rails of you breadboard ok....
this should be ok...do it carefully and you'll be fuzzing.... ;)

I feel your pain Maurice, I make stupid mistakes all the time, and they are always the hardest to diagnose!!  Sometimes I find it best to clear everything off the breadboard and start again fresh.  A lot of times, my errors correct themselves....good luck, stick with it!!

You'll never believe it... IT WORKED!!!!! I have wonderful fuzzy goodness thanks to DeadAstronaut's last breadboard.

It may have taken a while but I got there in the end.  I almost can't contain myself!

Big thanks guys, I was ready to give up but your advice was amazing.

Next step.... soldering :)

Perfect 10 for DeadAstro as well, for knocking up that diagram. Very kind.

Final question then I swear I'm putting this topic to rest :)

I'll be using a DPDT switch on the final board.  How can I add an LED light to the circuit?

http://gaussmarkov.net/wordpress/thoughts/wiring-up-a-1590b/ IF you use a 3PDT , in the past if i had a DPDT i did a separate switch  :icon_redface:
