How to kill the "POP" !!

When building small boost or Overdrive circuits that use 3PDT stomp switches , how can one stop the " POP" that you hear during switching ??

really very simple once you understand the reason for the pop in the first place !!

I installed a couple of 1 meg resistors as shown above .......now its dead quiet during switching !!
