Rust Driver not working

Can someone explain how come R3 is connecting pins 5 and 3 on that layout and not on the actual schematic?

My mistake 5 and 8 are connected via R3, but 8 and 3?

I don't see the problem. 5 & 3 are connected to each other on the layout, as per the schematic, and also to one end of R3. +9V connects to the other end of R3, and also directly to pin 8.

  finally made it!  Changed the ceramic caps to film, and now it sounds greats. Thanks for all the help.
