Looking to mod cheap graphic EQ. Which one should I go with?

I'm interested in modding a graphic EQ for my own specific values.  Anyone know which one of the cheap ones would be easiest for modding (i.e. through hole components)?

I'm thinking of the Behringer, Danelectro, or Joyo units.  Anyone cracked one of them open?

Thanks!

Beta Aivin , if you have one locally ( beware of their screws , they chip easily . )

None of them.
Get a used Boss GE-7. they are way easier to mod and the enclosure is better.

If you're modding then you'd probably like to go with whatever uses through-hole components.  Behringer typically go SMT these days.

Yeah, I'm looking to see which one is through-hole.  I've seen some budget pedals that aren't SMD so I'm hoping to find an EQ one but I may have to buy a boss or build from scratch.

What about vintage?  I found AC powered EHX and MXR graphic EQ's for reasonable prices.  They actually have the 3 frequencies I'm looking for and they would have the better headroom for my bass with super hot pickups.  Any preference between the two?

The EHX does have a foot switch but it's almost twice as much.

I actually really like my old blue MXR, something in it blew up and I need to fix it though, maybe I'll do it this weekend.  I actually found the oscillation that was bringing down one channel of my stereo rackmount MXR this past weekend, we'll see if I have the same luck again.

Enough rambling, if you need an always on EQ then I can vouch for the MXR, it sounds pretty good.

Well damn.  I ordered the EHX a few minutes before you posted.  I liked the idea of the foot switch and it looks much bigger than the MXR so it may be easier to mod in the future.
