Steve sent me some 'stompbox wire' from SB, tinned and has soft enough insulation to 'thumbnail strip' very easily, I found this wire quick, neat and easy to work with.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I'm aware about SB's stompbox wire , my sort of wire that i'm using is Pre-tinned ( still needs tinning ) 24AWG solid ( actually stranded ) .
But i have 18AWG wires lying around too ... that i plan on using for high power projects  :icon_mrgreen:
They were impossible to solder/tin using a 40W , haven't tried tinning that with my station .

A point to a solder pot?   maybe not at home...  :)  This is factory hardware...  Used for pretinning components that might not have been stored correctly,  or tinning wires after stripping. Of course, a good liquid rosin flux is an imperative! best thing is that you buy the solder from the plumbing supply bit of the hardware store :)
