Noob building a fuzzface & green ringer in one enclosure... but have questions

I am new to this site, but really dig all the posts.

I have done 1 kit before and it seemed pretty straight forward just following directions. A basic fuzz face and it works fine.

This time a local pedal company owner I know is getting me all the parts for an idea I have. a 60s fuzz face and a green ringer! I simply ordered the two circuits and will attempt to put them in one enclosure. Populating the board will be easy, but I am confused about combining the power supply to two circuits and two switches.

I have Lay outs for two different pedals and they seem easy, but I want to figure out how to do this with ONE input ONE output ONE power supply, ONE enclosure, but with two circuits and two switches... that's where I am a bit confused.

So do you guys know of a Layout somewhere that shows how to to make this work?

Maybe I should have just made two pedals, but the idea seems way cool to me to have in one box.

Thanks in advance to anyone who has ideas, advice, or knows where to find a layout.

Hi there,

Have a look here: Link (PDF).

This would be for an NPN / negative ground fuzz face. As Steve mentions in the post after mine, PNP / positive ground is different.

If you're not doing it for yourself, it's not DIY. ;)

It's not likely you will find a "build-it-this-way" layout. This is the kind of project that people typically work out for themselves once they have learned enough about how things work and a bit about how to combine efffects.

What FF layout/circuit are you using? Maybe you already know: The typical FF schem is positive-ground/PNP and the Green Ringer is negative-ground. I would start by building a negative-ground FF and a Green Ringer. If you can make those work separately, getting them in one enclosure with a common power supply bus and separate stomp switches is not too hard. The link in the previous post is the poop you would need, BUT the FF would need to be negative-ground for this to fly.

Thanks so much for the input. I am using both the layouts and circuits from GGG, and yes that is true I did notice the grounds are different. The FF is positive and the ringer is negative.

As a noob I may have bit off more then I can chew.

I was gonna build a simple octave up fuzz kit, but on the suggestion from this guy at  a local shop (a builder who's pedals I own and love) I became way enthused, but slightly intimidated. The fact that he will help me get great components is way excitIng, but I don't want to be the guy that hangs around his shop trying to get coaching.

I love both effects, maybe I should keep it simple and do two small units.
