Transistor substitution question.

Hello, I have a rookie question I hope someone can answer.
I am putting together the EA tremolo from Tonepad.  I have everything I need according to the schematic, except the 2N5457. Can I substitute a MPF102 in its place? Any advice is very much appreciated.
