LED assemblies at Radio Shack...other sources?

Radio Shack has these things all assembled, with what looks like its own bezel-type fixture and the leads already insulated, and I think I've seen the more recent DAM pedals using these istead of traditional LEDs.  They look like they could save a lot of time, but they're pricey...RS sells them for around $2.50 each.  Anybody know other sources where they can be found for a lower price?
