as the circuit board is soldered into the output jacks and impossible to remove, does anyone have any advice on how to do this? must i just unsolder the board from the  input/output jacks? if so, as it's hard to see, is it 3 contact points on each jack? any advice to make this easier??

thx

PRR

Can't you just unscrew the jacks from the case?

nope. little round case. the jacks were screwed in 1st with 3 little contacts on each sticking up. the whole circuit board with pots and switch slodered in was then dropped in and soldered to the jacks. makes for a big pain. got it out, putting it back in w/new switch now. pain,

ok, i need a fujisoku 8y2011 dpdt switch. i need an exact, or identical sized switch. mouser doesn't seem to have one, nor does anyone else. any ideas?

thanks. australia is a long way to go for a part...i would if necessary but this seems to be an exact fit: http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=955

Try a little tenderness.

hmmm, yeah. .2 mm here. .5 mm there. well, it's on the way so i'll see if it works. if not, i'll order down under. thanks and i'll keep you posted.

now, back to the lpb2...

ok, so re: the Alpha 107-SF12011-L DPDT  from smallbear as shown in the link above, the switch contacts are really spaced ever so slightly too tightly to fit the expandora board...by maybe .5mm the long way. i took some pliers and very carefully bent the 2 contacts on each end outwards a tiny bit. this makes them on an angle but i was able to get them through the holes enought to come through the board. the switch housing is identicle to the original fujisoku and i left out the inside retaining nut to make up for the extra area created by the switch housing not sitting flush with the board. bottom line is it takes a little jury rigging but the switch does work in the expandora.
