Hey guys,

Got my DMM clone working and had it wired for true bypass however I think I want to keep it the original buffered bypass so that I don't run into volume differences between bypass and effect.

Question: I am using a layout that looks like this, however I cannot for the life of me figure out what lugs of this diagram switch are which lugs of a 3dpt that I happen to have.

This particular bypass design is eluding me! Using the schematic and the layout, can anyone assign the 3pdt lug letters to the correct numbers please?

4 goes to A, 5 to G, 6 to D. You then need to cut the trace between 4 and the bottom of R29, and then 7 goes the output jack tip.

Thanks for chiming in. How come I have to cut the trace between 4 and the R29? Shouldn't I be able to wire up the switch to the original while leaving the PCB alone? Or is there a discrepancy between the schematic and my the PCB layout?

Yeah, the schematic and layout don't match. If you look on the schematic R29 is connected after the switch, and is connected only to points 6 and 7. On the layout, it's connected to the wiper of the Mix/blend pot before where the switch goes, so it's connected to points 6, 7 and 4. Possibly the layout is designed assuming you're building it true bypass and R29 is hardwired in that position.

Ok, slacker, I compared the schematic on my own until it made sense to me and I came to your same conclusion. Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction.

Hey, Guitylerham I am interested in building a DMM. Could you please PM me those documents? (layout, etching, schematic, etc)

Is your DMM working 100%?

Or should I just buy a Madbean board?

Many thanks!
