Hi there. I have a problem with getting my ff to work. I get the bypassed signal but when i switch it on no signal gets through, even the LED doesnt light up. An suggestions?

I havent made any changes in components, Q1 and Q2 are 2N2222, im using the trimmer and all the optional capacitors etc.
I´ll post some pictures asap. Thank you for your time

Yep, you listed all the pnp project files and the 2n2222 is an npn device.  Grab the npn project file and it will show you how everything goes for that transistor, or grab some pnp devices.

Duh.. I mistakenly posted the links for the Ge pnp version, but Im building the Si npn version, should be ok now.

That's pretty basic, and suggests some very basic mis-wire.

That's "impossible".

What is your battery voltage now?

Re-check your transistor pinouts. Your "impossible" readings make more sense if the B is in the C hole, but I can't sort out what C and E go to.

Pull the transistors: you should have full 9V in the C holes.

I believe he had his protection diode in the wrong way around? :)

azrael is right.  I didnt notice that so all I had to do way to switch it the other way. :)

The effect beeps when powered by adapter, any ideas how to fix that?

yes, kind of... its this constant high pitched noise :D it isnt problen when ff runs just on the battery but the battery doesnt last long :D

   If the noise goes away with the battery then it's the power supply...the power supply 'goodness' test.
    But that said, in this case, since the battery doesn't last 'long' [should last longtime in FF circuit, the LED indicator woulld draw more current...does the battery  get 'warm' or hot ?
   @@any rate if you figure out why so much current [or that the battery was already almost dead, or 'doesn't last 'long' means something normal [how long is not long?]...anyway drawing a whole lot of current would load the power supply more than normal and the whine might be increased by the increase of current drawn.
    Battery doesn't last long makes one suspect there is a short in the power supply or low resistance across the battery poles...would make it draw too much current.
    Hard to debug anything else from the void, post the voltages and other useful information as described in the debugging thread.
