Hey guys I've got a newbie question...

I just built a Buff 'n Blend from the schematic on Beavis Audio. It works great except that the volume seems lower the closer the mix is to 50/50 is this normal? If anything I would expect it to be louder with an even mix. Is there anyway to fix/minimize this?

Thanks for your help

Did you install R4 100k resistor? It's used only if the effect has too much volume. Try replacing that with a jumper.

In some effects output signal is 180 degrees out of phase compared to the input (blend sounds trebly and weak) and in this case you have to build a phase reverser to the effect receive side of Buff 'n Blend.

No I did not include the R4 because the full wet vs full dry sound pretty equal volume wise. It is just that the volume dips in middle (equal amounts of wet/dry) maybe they are out of phase. I do remember seeing an op-amp blender with an inverter(b. blender maybe?) I will read some more about that. I just realize I am using this on a flanger (Ibanez FL-9) could that be part of the problem would a flanger or phaser not work with any blender?

Thanks

Hi

have you seen this

it's a splitter & blender though I think if you connect RedSend to RedReturn you can use Green Send and Return
