Okay, this is just for fun. Don't let this become a "best" thread. Here's the challenge:

You have a large enclosure (floor based or rackmount modular with wired foot switch controller) that can hold one of each of the following 10 effects. No more than four knobs/toggles per effect. Which circuits would you populate your multieffects unit?

Compressor
Envelope Filter
Boost
Overdrive
Distortion
Fuzz
Tremolo
Vibe
Chorus
Delay

My selections (based on builds I've done, are in work or would like to do soon):
Compressor: Ross Comp
Envelope Filter: MXR EF
Booster: MXR microamp
Overdrive: Timmy
Distortion: ? (not sure yet)
Fuzz: Tonebender
Tremolo: Taylor's Tap Tempo Trem
Vibe: Tri-Vibe
Chorus: CE-2
Delay: Madbean's aquaboy

Have fun!

Edit: As noted below, I for got a phaser! Here's my pick:
Phaser: 12 stage version of MXR Phase 90 (think RG's P180, but with four more stages)

Compressor: anything but the Ross, maybe Mictesters "Really Cheap Compressor" or his "Compression Sustainer" (or Pigtronix Philosphers' Tone)
Envelope Filter: MXR EF or Mad Prof Snow White Auto Wah
Boost: MXR CAE MC-401 or Boss FA-1

http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/albums/userpics/23524/Boss_FA-1_vero.gif
Overdrive: My Rosescreamer (a TS-9/Maxon OD-808 derivate) or a JFET based circuit, maybe Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret or CB30, or s.th. from runoffgroove.com
http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/albums/userpics/23524/rose_screamer_sym.gif
(changes: "clean" and "level"pots 10k (maybe log), R11=68k, R13=33k, R12=68k or higher)
Distortion: Mad Prof Stone Grey Distortion or a simple DOD250 or a similar circuit
http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/albums/userpics/23524/mad_prof_stone_grey_vero.gif
(This is Mictesters Really Cheap Comp and the Vox 1902 Distortion on one board: http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=3203&fullsize=1 Mistake: Jumper between R17/R18 has to go to +9V, not to gnd)
Fuzz: Mountain Fuzz (from redcircuits) or Retrobush Fuzz (Tonebender sounds without Tonebender problems...)
http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/albums/userpics/23524/Mountain_Fuzz_-_redcircuitscom-page91.gif
http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/albums/userpics/23524/Retrobush_Fuzz_Vero_rb11.gif
Tremolo: Taylors Tremolo or Madbeans version ot the Demeter Trem
Vibe: Tri-Vibe or Catalinbread Pareidolia
Chorus: CE-2 or the "Dimension P" (with PT2399)
Delay: Catalinbread Mountevillain, Echo Base or s.th. based on FV-1 (maybe buy a Z.Cat Hold/Delay/Chorus, because it has Tap Tempo)

And I would place the Chorus after the Delay. The Dimension P has a stereo output, so you can use two amps for a really big tone. (See the different switching options...)

And I'm missing a phaser in your list. Maybe I would replace the Vibe pedal with a phase 90 with switchable vibrato mod.

I have several N/A instead of putting stuff I've never used.

Compressor: MXR Dynacomp (same as Ross?)
Envelope Filter: Nurse Quacky (hardly ever use)
Boost: N/A
Overdrive: N/A
Distortion: Big Muff
Fuzz: Fuzz face
Tremolo: N/A
Vibe: Ross Phaser with vibe mods
Chorus: Boss CE-2
Delay: Boss DD-2

I have built several tremolos on bread board but can't decide which to box

BoxOfSnoo

Some of these I would skip, since I don't use them that much but let's see...

Compressor: DOD 280 (Tonepad)
Envelope Filter: (Never use it, so insert anything here)
Boost: AMZ Mini-booster, with input gain and tone: GGG has this as "Boutique Boost"
Overdrive: LTD of course!
Distortion: BSIAB2
Fuzz: This is tough. Only one?? Some kind of Silicon Fuzz Face ( http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/fuzzface.php ) , I reserve the right to tweak the circuit/parts.
Tremolo: Tremulus Lune with a symmetry switch
Vibe: Tri-Vibe
Chorus: (I haven't found the definitive DIY chorus yet.  Placeholder.)
Delay: Echo Base of course!

There would hopefully be some sort of loop so I could insert a wah after the fuzz if I wanted.

I've always wanted one of these, I love that you can assign the order of the effects too.

Totally missed that. I edited my original post to add a Phaser. Here's my pick:
Phaser: 12 stage version of MXR Phase 90 (think RG's P180, but with four more stages)
