hey guys just another idea. is it possible to make a MIDI controller with like analog moentary spst switches. like the arcade buttons lets say.

the idea is simple, to have some little piece of pad controller or whatever that has the play pause and all these buttons along.

is it gonna be hard gtting a midi signal out of that?

Probably the simplest and easiest way of doing it is to buy yourself an Arduino for $30, and using some of the already-developed routines in the MIDI library for reading the switches and streaming out MIDI data over the USB port.

Maybe Highly Liquid has something you can use.
