Is it possible to substitute non polarized electrolytics for polarized ones in most effects circuits? I have some bi polars that were sent to me by mistake...

But don't do it in power supplies!  :icon_wink:

A joke from the Vietnam War era of draft inductees in the USA.

When each fresh load of baby-faced new draftees was delivered to the basic training post, they were dumped off the busses, run through hygene 101 (i.e., showers, shaves, haircuts down to fuzz) and then sent off through the maze of large buildings to get inspected, detected, and rarely, rejected. Their hearts and minds were not yet fully following this process, and so they often made mistakes, even when loudly, forcefully, and clearly told and shown things like "Stand in line. Here. On this yellow line painted on the floor. As each (insert derogatory term for raw recruit from Sergeant Major here) in front of  you is issued his (insert item of gear here), move up until you get processed and told what to do next."

The supply sergeants behind the counters issuing uniforms, boots, etc. would deal with each one as they came up. Inevitably, about 90% of them got it wrong. This had the effect of wearing and tearing down even the eight-cylinder cast-iron b@5t@rds who were assigned to be supply sergeants.

The story goes that on one day, a supply sergeant had had too much and lept onto the counter, screaming "OK, I've had it! You guys come in here every week and make the same mistakes week after week. WHY CAN'T YOU EVER GET IT RIGHT?"

Those weren't the only jokes. Just one of the few that the auto-censors won't pick up.
