Hello,

How would I go about adding two Si diodes to this so I can switch back and forth between Ge and Si diodes? Could you please tell me what I would need to move/remove and where to wire the switch? Would I have to pull up any leads too?

Thanks

Use a SPDT switch -- that's three poles, on/on.

Wire the ground to the center lug.

Wire the terminus of the two diodes shown in the schematic -- the part that is shown now going to ground -- to one unused lug of the switch.

Add two Si diodes, in the same configuration, to the same place in the circuit the 1n34As are currently shown. Everything on that side will be connected together -- two Germanium diodes, two silicon diodes, the AC coupling cap, the bright lift switch.

Take the other side of those two Si diodes and wire them to the unused lug of the switch.

You should now have two sets of diodes that are all connected on one side, with your switch providing a connection to ground for only one set at a time.

Here's one schematic of hundreds that shows the other way to do a diode selection switch:

Basically, this way has the diodes always connected to ground and then the switch shunts their connection to the audio path. Either way works.
